Nobody in the pitt has ever seen Robby get so possesive, it's like Robby has a new sense for: someone's around my omega, must protect. Robby's schedule starts centering around Dennis, make sure he's taken care of, that even the bad parts of carrying a pup feel less bad for him. But now they're here, in a dimly lit hospital room as Dennis sleeps off the exhaustion. Leaving him sitting next to the bed with their tiny little pup cradled in his arms. she's the most gorgeous thing he's ever seen, Dennis's little twirling curls, his deep brown eyes and hair. small puppy tail and ears twitching and tail wagging as she sleeps soundly, wrapped up in a little pink onesie. Robby has never before in his life seen something quite so beautiful and fragile.

Dennis keeps scenting Robby's clothes, but nothing else, it drives Robby mad with want
"And make sure you don't drown Robby's hoodie in even more of your scent. It's gonna be a hell of a surprise if he doesn't notice." Dana continues, tail swaying behind her. his scent on Robby's hoodie? Dennis doesn't let out any pheromones or leave his scent anywhere at all. So there's no way his scent is on Robby's hoodie, right?
He doesn't notice that by the time he gets up and goes back to work, Robby's fleece is scented by him.Robby does, Dana does. Robby gladly takes the fleece home by the end of the shift. And if he presses the fleece to his nose every five minutes? Well then, that's his business.
The next shift, he brings his usual worn navy hoodie."You hoping your little omega scents it again?" She asks, and Robby's ears go more to the side.
Whitaker perks up, and his tail starts wagging happily. Once again, Whitaker, his scent, hangs in the air around their spot. Robby can't deny it now. He wants the omega for himself.

Summary
Robby was supposed to leave for his sabbatical and not think about this place for months. It was all he wanted, all he thought about for the past year working at the ED.
But then, as he's leaving after a long friday shift, he finds Dennis passed out on the parking lot, his mouth smeared with blood and his skin pale. Robby rushes to help him, to give him the primary care he was trained to give as a doctor.

Dennis’s throat felt dry as the older man’s fingers started to stroke lightly, a tingle working its way up his entire leg. He licked his lips as they parted, but he couldn’t force any sound out.
“Here.” Another shot glass Robby had pulled from the overflowing pile on the table was pressed against Dennis’s lips, giving him no choice but to take it. “That’s good.” He could feel Robby’s fingers creep a little higher, just about an inch.

“Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. What were you saying?” the man teased.
“Because I’m yours,” Dennis admitted, tears starting to fall. “I'm yours. I'm only yours, Dr. Robby. She can't have me.”
“That's right,” Robby smiled, hand moving down to Dennis’ chest. He knew he could trust the boy to keep looking forward. “She can't have you. But she can watch, from a distance, right? That's allowed?”
