The very last thing that he could have possibly anticipated is Castiel - winged, angry and looking for the grace that he lost in the fall, so that he can get back to Heaven.
Dean's a little fascinated by Castiel, and Castiel is intrigued by Dean and his seafaring life. But Castiel has to go back to Heaven, and finding the grace has to be his first priority, even though it often seems he would rather put Dean first. But Dean knows it's foolish to hope. After all, a bird may fall in love with a fish - but where would they live?

Enter Dean. He works for the nearby dive, The Roadhouse. Late one night Cas stops in for a bite and from that moment, everything changes. Cas needs a sous chef, and Dean deserves an opportunity.
At Novak’s, with Dean in the role of sous chef, a whole lot starts cooking despite the efforts that Cas makes to keep everything professional.

When Dean finds himself drawn to the woman's youngest son, Dean thinks the situation can't get any worse. Then, Anna gets sick... and nothing seems to help.
