“What did you think?”
Vox’s eyes were always so expressive. Large round things that gave so much away, much more than Vox most likely intended to. Alastor found that he didn’t mind all too much, it made it infinitely easier to read the other when he wore his heart on his sleeve like that.
“Well, it was rather nice to see the demon’s reaction to his victim appearing in front of him for revenge. Though it could’ve done with more damage.” Alastor always appreciated inspiring fear in others, and even if that wasn’t the route Vox usually went to, he did well when he did.
Vox laughed at his words, eyes crinkling up as his voice boomed through the backstage. Alastor smiled a little wider, pleased at the reaction.

Vox comes down with a nasty stomach virus in the middle of a conference, whilst staying in a hotel with a very emetophobic Velvette.
She tries to take care of him even still, calling them both a ride home, and helping him get back to Valentino (who is far more equipped to take care of vomit).
There is lots of vomit, lots of care, and The Vees just trying their best.

Here's the problem: Vox is a perpetually hungry, perpetually starving monster, hedonistic and insatiable, one that can never stop itself from wanting. It wants Hell, more and more of it, and along with that it also wants the pearly feel of Heaven in its mouth; it wants power, money, influence, and worst of all, it wants what it can't ever have.
Or: The fictional shark is always starving, and there's no better meal than venison served on a hot plate.
