Nothing will ever feel like this moment. Nothing will ever feel like the look that Bakugou gives him. He feels vulnerable and strong and scared and happy and loving and everything. He stuffs his face into his hands. He can feel himself shake, Bakugou scoots closer.
Through nimble, shaky fingers Kirishima can see Bakugou’s hands pull his away, so shy and strong. He presses close to him, wobbly smile still stained onto his face. And he kisses him. Kisses him so freely that Kirishima wants to scream, wants to laugh and cry. It feels so overwhelming, his love for Bakugou. All he can do is kiss back.

It’s been like that since they started this whole thing. Since he first stood up here and stared into the abyss of the floor, since the band started playing. He always found himself looking back at Bakugou. But that wasn’t his fault! He just looked really nice drumming, putting all his passion into it, screaming his heart out. He just looked so manly down there. Kirishima almost wished that he was there with him. He didn’t exactly get the chance to see him while he played but he could imagine.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
It was another lie, another bold-faced lie. And he knew it, Todoroki knew it, Sero knew it, hell maybe everyone in the room knew it.

Summary
Bakugou’s breathing came out in ragged spurts, mixed with the loud demands for him to be left alone. His face was scrunched up in a fearful glare, eyes red from crying. The tears that stained Bakugou’s face didn’t stop flowing, even through his screaming. Even through all the anger that rested on his face, Kirishima could see the fear. The inkling of horror residing in his scared eyes. Kirishima wanted to be scared but then the worry was covering him, wrapping him in a cold embrace. He wanted Bakugou to be okay, he needed Bakugou to be okay but the look in his eyes, the fear that remained even while he looked at Kirishima he knew that it wasn’t going to happen.

Bakugou tries his hardest not to be fond of his friends. He is supposed to be the punk angry boy from class 1-A. That is his reputation, that is who he is and he will uphold it. But it’s hard when his friends are complete dumbasses. How is he not supposed to laugh at their dumb conversations or when they end up dogpiled on Kaminari again. It’s not ‘cute’ or ‘funny’ and Bakugou has no idea why he always has to snap his head away from them to smile.
So maybe that’s why he holds an utter distaste for them when he opens his eyes to see a surprise birthday party. It’s that he didn’t have any clue that it was planned that got to him first. This entire week he was met with easy glances and kind smiles, as always. The same stupid jokes and yet here he is in utter surprise. He seems to hate them more every day.
