Summary
“Lance?” Keith calls as he lets himself into his boyfriend’s apartment. “You in here?”
When he hears no reply, he shuts the door behind him. Toes off his shoes and places them on the rack at the entryway. Pulls his coat off and hangs it up in the closet. Hangs his keys on the little hooks they put up together when Lance couldn’t stop losing his keys. Drops his bag in the hallway before heading to the last door on the right.

Summary
Laughter echoes out on the patio, but Lance sits on his bench, swirling a glass of red wine.
"Lance?"
He turns and sees Keith, holding the door to the party open. Even though his dark hair is pulled back into ponytail, some pieces have fallen to frame his face. He's ditched his white jacket and tie, opting to wear just his red vest with the sleeves rolled up on his white shirt. His dark eyebrows are pulled together, concern clearly written on his face.

Summary
When Lance first heard Keith's bike pull in, he'd thought his boyfriend would be in their apartment within a couple minutes—long enough for him to store his helmet and pull the cover over it before heading inside.
But it's been ten minutes, and Keith still hasn't come in yet.
"Maybe he's on the phone with Shiro," he murmurs as he stirs the pot of marinara on the stove.

Summary
When Lance rolls over in the middle of the night and finds his fiancé is not in bed with him, he is decidedly worried but not surprised. He blinks a few times to make his eyes adjust to the darkness before settling on the blue glow coming from their kitchen. With a sigh, he climbs out of bed and grabs his robe off the hook on the back of the door before going to hunt down Keith.

Red…
There’s red… everywhere.
Normally, Lance would love to admire Keith in red, but this… this is just wrong.
His fiancé’s chest plate is cracked and in pieces. His black jumpsuit is ripped to shreds. And there’s so much blood.

Summary
Lance liked to pretend that he was a cool customer. Nonchalant. Unbothered.
And normally, he was!
But something about Keith Kogane made Lance McClain lose it. Mostly in a good way, but still there were moments when Lance acted just… a tiny bit… like a fool.
Like, today.

Summary
Keith had a secret.
Well, he had a couple secrets.
The first was that he really… really loved musical theater.
He had countless soundtracks memorized. RENT, West Side Story, Avenue Q, Hair, Hamilton, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Cats. You name a musical, and Keith probably knew at least one song from it.

Summary
Lance hates being sick.
Being sick is the worst because fevers and runny noses and nausea and hacking coughs and headaches and body aches. Not only does Lance feel terrible, but he hates how weak it makes him feel. He doesn't have the energy to get up and do anything, so he just lies on his couch and feels miserable as dirty dishes and wadded up tissues collect on his coffee table.
The worst part about this stupid summer cold that popped up out of nowhere is the fact that Lance had plans with Keith. They were supposed to go on a really nice date for their anniversary, and Lance had to cancel because he couldn't breathe properly.

Lance collapses into their bed with a groan.
"Long day?" Keith asks as he marks the page in his book and closes it.
"The longest," Lance says. Or at least, Keith thinks he said that, but his face is currently muffled by the pillows on the bed.

Summary
One of Lance’s rules in life is that decorating cookies should be fun, damn it. And Lance isn’t going to let anyone take the fun out it, not even Keith. Before he can stop himself, he grabs a hippo from his plate that wasn’t iced and reached towards one of the bowls of goo that Hunk had modified to taste like frosting. He picked up the knife out of the red frosting and slathered the cookie with a thick layer.
“Mr. Mullet Man,” Lance says in a high voice. He walks the hippo cookie around between the space separating him and Keith. “Mr. Mullet Man, decorating is fun. Say it with Mr. Hippo. ‘Decorating cookies is fun.’”

Or the story of how Lance realized he has a family in space, too.

Summary
They’d planned to finish renovating the kitchen during the long weekend, but if the first day was anything to go by, it wasn’t going to happen.
First, they had gotten two cabinets installed before they realized that the rest weren’t going to fit. A phone call to Hunk and a YouTube video later, they’d discovered that they had to start with the corner, which meant they had to take those cabinets down and start over. They took the cabinets off the wall and swore that would be their only setback for the day.
Ha. Riiiiiight.

Summary
Despite his split lip, Keith winces more.
Lance is pissed.
Sure, Keith shouldn't have taken that puck to the knee. Especially after he'd fought fucking Lotor because he pushed Lance against the boards. And maybe his mouth would be hurting tomorrow, and he may have fucked himself and his knee for the playoffs, but…
But he was Voltron's enforcer. He had to protect their stars.

Summary
"So you never think I'm too much?" As Keith spoke, he squeezed Lance's hand.
Oh.
Suddenly, he thought of how he told Keith last night that he was too much. In fact, he thought of every instance over the last year when he'd said stuff like that about himself.
He felt his cheeks warm with embarrassment.
"Keith," Lance says, eyes downcast at his eggs instead of meeting his boyfriend's eyes. "It's no big deal."

Summary
Keith had started towards his car once they reached the parking lot, but Lance grabbed his sleeve.
"You're in no shape to drive," Lance said. "We'll get your car in the morning."
He didn't even put up a fight, just tucked himself into Lance's side and let him lead them to the car. The whole ride home, Lance held his hand, like a steady presence.
---
Or the story of how Keith learned that he doesn't have to push everyone away.
