Summary
Locking the door behind him, Shouta collapsed against it, dead on his feet. His eyes slid shut and he breathed deeply for a few minutes, barely acknowledging the sleeping bag he dropped to the floor. Shouta would need an extended nap, a nutrient pouch and several mugs of bitter coffee before he went on patrol. Maybe he would see the tortoiseshell stray that had been hanging around his route recently.
Maybe it was the sleep deprivation talking, or the lack or excess of caffeine, but in a moment of delirium, Shouta called out into his empty apartment, "Honey, I'm home."
Silence, and then, "Hey, I ordered pizza."
Shouta's eyes snapped open.

Summary
He was coping well, Shouta thought, as he scrubbed mayonnaise off of his bathroom mirror, with the events in his life. Namely, at the moment, coming into the bathroom after waking to find a message written neatly in mayonnaise on his mirror about how he was cute and how someone would love to go out with him. It wasn't Midoriya, who wrote exclusively in chicken scratching and cursive with no inbetween. When he inquired, Midoriya cheerfully assured him that nobody had broken in, before jumping out of the window and transforming into a kitten halfway down a five story drop.
So, when Shouta set the cloth he used to clean the mirror on fire and sat on the sofa staring at the ceiling for several hours until he had to leave to go to UA, he privately congratulated himself on handling it so well.

Grunting slightly as he sat with aid of his capture weapon, Shouta's joints ached and groaned after so long being stationary. "The ghost guy that's haunting my apartment and made a mess of the mirror?"
With a blinding gin, Midoryia stretched up and extended their arms far above their head, the bones giving a weary sigh at the continued abuse. "He's really taken by you, and he apologises for all of the things he's broken in the kitchen. Zashi's practicing his ghost abilities! Like the radio! He wants to talk to you!"
There was a pause.
"That was the ghost?"
The "You're not driving me mad?" remained unsaid.

Summary
There was a crackle and for a haunting moment Shouta thought that the coffee machine and died, and he had to be without anymore caffeine for another three periods. Another crackle, this time however almost being drowned out by the squeal of the coffee machine.
Without looking away from the mug in his hand, Shouta took a deep drink of the piping liquid and murmured, "Why can't Nedzu just use the intercom for once instead of being a cryptid-"

Silently seething, he turned to the radio, watching as the speakers buckled under the pitch and volume of the loudmouth who was abusing them. "Zashi, as much as I appreciate you making such an effort to- to- whatever the fuck you're doing, if I have to explain this to Nemuri or Tensei I'm going to-"

Summary
Dense shadows consumed the space. Jutting pipes and spider webs cast fluid silhouettes of beasts and prey running across the mouth of the alley. With a flick, Shouta activated the night vision on his goggles, having turned it off during the last scuffle that he settled. In the green tinted display, there wasn't much more except a donation box for the orphanage a door down, a large rubbish bin full and a tail flicking out from behind a stack of sodden boxes.
Rounding the corner to peak into the blind spot behind the cardboard, there was a boy. Their hair was sodden and slick, plastered to their alabaster skin and something bulky on their mouth; thin arms trembled as they wrapped around a long haired cat that was nudging its fluff against the child's shoulder.

Summary
With a soft knock, Aizawa stepped into Nedzu's office, nodding to Izuku and Nedzu seated in matching leather chairs behind the desk, before taking a seat next to Hound Dog.
"Aizawa-san, it has come to the notice of my personal student and the staff that you are not in a good mental place."
Rolling his eyes, Aizawa sighed out, "Just stress, nothing anybody needs to worry about."
There was a beat of silence before Nedzu spoke in an entirely unassuming light tone, "The cause of this emotional response is the lessen in contact with Yamada-san, am I correct Aizawa-san?"
Both anxiety and a subdued anger rose in Aizawa as he glared at the mammal, even giving Hound Dog some side eye as he leant in attentively, his sympathetic therapist face on.
"He got tired of me. It's happened a lot before, it would be cruel to force him to pretend to give a shit. The signals he is sending are clear and were received. I don't care, and I don't need to talk it out. If that's all that you called me here to discuss then kindly stop wasting my time."

Summary
Pushing him away and fully sitting up, Aizawa looped an arm around Izuku's shoulders, reaching for Hitoshi and pulling them onto the bed, so that they perched on the edge behind the protective barrier of muscle-bound arms. Even if he was still shaking, the purple haired person seemed relieved, clutching onto Aizawa's shirt as their tears wet the thin blanket maintaining Aizawa's dignity. Just as he peeled his chapped lips back in a baleful snarl, eyes aching to maintain his quirk, the stranger sprinted for the door, phasing through it leaving the room uncomfortably warm.
A quick scan over his children came back clear. He withdrew his arms and sat back on the bed, closing his eyes to rehydrate them. "You two okay? They didn't try anything?"
"Who?" Izuku asked, cocking their head to the side, leaning to the side to press the call button. The movement bought him away from Aizawa, so with an annoyed huff the bed ridden man dragged him to his lap, snuggled next to Hitoshi.
It was with a raspy voice and short temper that he replied. "The stranger looked to be male, not in a hospital uniform? Over six feet? Looming at the end of the bed like some kind of lanky gargoyle?"
"There wasn't anybody there."

Aizawa's head snapped upright, uncaring if Nedzu squirmed under his quirk. The strangled voice was barely a whisper, a livid growl of timbre and vehement burning fear.
"One of my children is unconscious and injured,the other is missing?"
Aizawa opened his mouth and then paused, racking his frazzled brain. With his heart thudding against his ribcage he realised how little he actually knew about his children. The realisation was a bit startling, along with the hand on his shoulder.
"Aizawa-san, take some deep breathes. You're still at risk of further heart complications. You need to breath-"
In the relative quiet of the room, the screeching of a chair skidding across the room as Aizawa jolted up reverberated like a gunshot.

Summary
Chiyo stared at Touya as soon as he entered the room, freezing. As soon as he made a move towards Hitoshi's bedside she moved quickly in between them, blocking the vulnerable child in the bed. It came to a standstill as her hand hovered over a scalpel and Touya's hand began to slightly warm.
Pushing past both of them and giving a pointed look at Chiyo that had an odd mix of reprimand and intense gratefulness, Aizawa strode over to Hitoshi and crouched beside Yamada, who was gently massaging his shoulders and humming a quiet, jaunty tune.
"Izuku vouched for him and requested him to come and help with the treatment, Chiyo, so at least let him give a second opinion. Any changes?"
Still tense and hands hovering near sharp blades, Chiyo cast a doubtful scan of Touya, all gangly limbs, greasy black hair and yellowed bandages which frayed at the edges. Her voice was gruff as she responded.
