Summary
Tensions are high, politics raging. Some people predict a Ferengi civil war (which means a series grueling legal battles the likes of which have not been seen on the planet since before the Alliance). Although no longer banished since the recent reforms, Pel isn't even sure what she is anymore as she prepares for the big races in her new home on Pelipa. Then a weird hew-mon gone haywire who claims to know all of time and space (when it comes up in inconvenient flashes) knows that Ferenginar is being invaded by a sentient parasite in the process of buying out Ferenginar at it's lowest point. Quark is in the wrong place at the wrong time, as usual, but being dragged into a mess he considers Ferenginar's own fault by Bashir-possibly-gone-crazy and his old 'friend' Pel may be better for him than he thinks.

Summary
A year after the Keeoopii Invasion. After an alleged assassination attempt on Rom, Quark finds himself Acting Nagus. While political intrigue, a returning lover, and a looming danger of the returning Keeoopii are all around him, Quark tries to place his trust in the Great River if nothing else, but trusting himself to feel its current seems almost impossible.

Summary
Obviously non-canon, but I did form ideas about the Ferengi language that are based loosely on a combination of the version of Ferengi one hears in DS9 and the version of Ferengi heard in Enterprise.
