Chapter 1: Severus Snape attends the funeral of Lily and James Potter. ((She should be laughing at him. 'Severus, such sentimentality is reserved for us emotional Gryffindors. You know that.')) Snape remembers the dead only to be forgotten himself. With a new generation trying to piece together the memories.
Chapter 2: Albus Severus visits two places students are not allowed to visit alone on his final day at Hogwarts. Searching for meaning to having the two most important names in the wizarding world from the Portrait of Albus Dumbledore and the grave of Severus Snape.
Chapter 3: Albus Severus has a discussion with the portraits in the Headmistress's office, seeking answers to questions no one has ever been able to answer. Who was Severus Snape?

Summary

Set in the Fifth Year of the Harry Potter Series, this Alternate Universe deals with a more aggressive link between Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter and the various attempts to contain the damage such a link creates. Severus Snape plays a prominent role in protecting Harry, much to his dismay. His own history is stirred up when a past acquaintance is revealed as the catalyst required in order to end Harry's nightmares. Adding to the complications in Snape's and Potter's lives Sirius Black runs into trouble of his own when caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. For once the questions surrounding his loyalty are truly necessary. The conclusion of the confusion could very easily end more than one life.
