Summary
Directly opposite the convenience store and its air of cheap misery was a towering brick building, impeccably maintained. Even from the back here, with a view of trash cans and ground floor service entrances, the place radiated intimidation. It was an impression that grew all the stronger if one went around front and saw the bold white letters announcing it as a ballet academy. Haven of rich, preppy girls who looked down their noses at the burnout selling them chewing gum and vitamin water.

He pulled out the chair across from him and cleared his throat, waiting to be noticed. It took all of a fraction of a second. The man’s head jerked up from staring into his glass. The most beautiful, intense blue eyes Sollux had ever seen were now boring directly into his own.
Sollux is new in town and on the prowl for a meal. Eridan grudgingly obliges.

“It’s Halloween. The holiday of all things spooky and unusual. People dress up in costumes, pretend to be something they’re not. Especially monsters. You know what that means, right?”
Eridan leaned in a little closer to him. His big, wet violet eyes shone with something like hope, as if he was afraid to voice his thoughts in case they were wrong. After a few seconds of quiet, Sollux took mercy on him and gave him the answer.
On Halloween night, Sollux can finally take Eridan out safely to have some fun.
