He's okay. For a while. For a bit. For a day maybe. Except for the questions and the depression and...
First nature betrays him, then his mind, and then his body.
Ed is struck by lightning and he isn't okay, but that's okay.

"A seizure?" Dr. Fleischman's eyes went wide, and he leaned forward. "A seizure?" A said a degree louder.
"MmHm." Ed nodded. "Well, goodbye." He waved.
"Goodbye?" Ruth-Anne crossed her arms. "You sit that butt right back down, young man."
"Hm?" Ed's neck twitched left. "Oh. Yes, m'am." He swayed back towards them and stumbled over nothing on his way.
"Woah, woah, woah." Chris leapt up and grabbed Ed's arms, leading him back to the chair. "Easy, bud."
"Ed, a seizure?" Dr. Fleischman repeated. "A seizure? And you were just going to walk out of here like, what? Like nothing?"

"Ed couldn't begin to wrap his head around waking him up or bothering him after work hours. Dr.Fleischman had made it very clear he didn't want to be here at all, and Ed knocking on his door after the sun had gone down to bother him with nothing but a little cough was probably the last thing Dr.Fleischman wanted to deal with.
He'd dealt with himself before Dr.Fleischman was here; he didn't need to bother the man now."

Ed gets truly sick but he does not tell anyone cause he's use to deal with sickness alone and also because he doesn't want to be a burden. Of course it ends with a lot of love and comfort.
