Description:

Obi-Wan Kenobi takes Luke Skywalker as a newborn to Tatooine entrusting him to his aunt and uncle. 3 years later, the Lars are killed, and Luke is sold into slavery. 9 years after, an assassin only known as the Specter begins a reign of terror across the Empire, apparently unstoppable against any who dare challenge him. Nicknamed "the Mandalorian Shadow," because he's never seen without his trademark black armor, Specter is hired by the Alliance to rescue Princess Leia after she's captured by Darth Vader while attempting to bring the Death Star plans to her father on Alderaan.
Specter liberates the princess and agrees the join the rebellion, confiding to Leia and Kenobi the person he used to be and the events that followed his kidnapping as a small child. Jedi and rebels across the galaxy rally to the rebellion, seeing the Specter as a new hope to finally destroy the Empire and restore the Republic.
But the Sith Lords are unlike anything Luke has faced before. Vader hunts Specter relentlessly, seeing him as the means finally overthrow his hated master. Meanwhile, Luke seeks his own answers, knowing who he is, but not how or why his parents are gone. Vader and Luke soon find their fates are intertwined, but why?

Notes:

My retelling of the original trilogy, Eps 4-6. After, there will be retellings of Ep 7-9, which are in early drafting. As of 10/12/2025, here are the Ep statuses:
Ep IV: Dark Assassin (complete).
Ep V: Jedi Assassin (2 chapters from completion)
Ep VI: Scion Assassin (pre-prologue is up on ff.net to flag for alerts)
While the above are all posted on ff.net, I do plan to eventually migrate them all to this platform as well. On ff.net, my username is LC Lane, so you should be able to locate my works if interested. Please IM with questions or concerns.
