Summary
Set after the Battle of Camlann, Arthur is sure his only venture next is spending the rest of his days finally figuring out the mystery that is Merlin. It’s been two years since Merlin’s magic was revealed and Arthur was finally starting to not only tolerate magic in his kingdom but come to accept the fact it had always been there and will always be. But his progress is shaken, however, when he and Merlin are suddenly expected to navigate their way through a new, and perhaps the most challenging, undertaking yet….
Fatherhood.
Basically Arthur and Merlin become parents, a bit unwillingly, through magic and prophecy. But their unwillingness is short lived as becoming fathers forces them to address their own feelings for each other and what it all means for the future of Albion.

Summary
“I believe it,” Arthur sighs, “I won’t ever get a break, will I? How is it I’ve managed to become the sole entertainment for two sorcerers? I mean, really.”
Merlin chuckles, “I think his magic just… recognizes you.”
Merlin can hear Arthur's breath stutter behind him. “Oh, that’s…”
“I know,” he agrees, turning in Arthur’s arms so he can finally see his face. In the moonlight Arthur appears quite taken, the sudden pull of emotion heavy in the blue of his eyes as he stares back at Merlin unblinking. “I keep thinking about what my mother said. How she thinks his magic is just acting out because he doesn’t know what it’s like to be afraid of showing it. How he feels safe. With you.”
Arthur’s jaw tightens and finally he does look away, something glistening in his eyes as he loosens his hold on Merlin’s waist.
“With you too,” he mumbles, blinking just a little too quickly, “...maybe we are doing something right.”
