This was a normal occurrence. It wasn’t a bad thing they had things outside of school, and that sometimes they wouldn’t be able to meet, and it wasn’t like they were going completely incommunicado. They still had each other’s Lime ID. Harumi was still texting Aki about vaguely concealed threats if his classmates pretended to know what they were talking about. It was normal. But he still felt a twinge every time it happened that he couldn't control."

Aki is best friends with Harumi. Nothing more, nothing less. But when he starts having to write out a literal list about why they're super close (in a platonic way), even he starts to realize how hopeless he sounds.
