Summary
Ever since they've defeated Vecna, Mike has tried to kill himself 7 times.
He can't put a finger on it when it really started. When suicide became a normal part of his daily thought process, when images of slitting his wrists or allowing his body to dangle from a rope hung by hands that used to embrace his friends or set dnd campaigns became his everyday hell.
Or, Mike and Will are fucking going through it after Vecna is defeated because people don't just continue after that and trauma is real.

When will had asked how he was so good at it, Mike responded.
“My dad was a piece of shit.”
When will had asked if his dad was the knight allowing him to stay here, Mike had, albeit reluctantly, responded.
“No, my sister Nancy is the one under the armor.”
And when will asks how the hell a girl managed to get into the knights ranks without being thrown out, mike had sharply grinned, at least as sharp as a child as young as them could, and responded;
“She's pretending to be a boy.”
And at the time Will hadn't known what to think about that (although present day him thinks Nancy is a goddamn badass) but he knew that he liked mike and wanted him to stay around.
Now, seven years later, Will is not sure of either of those things anymore.
Or, Will is a prince, Mike is a knight's son. And although the act of their love may be considered a sin, treason punishable by death, god nor law will hold them down.
