Summary
Peter felt his legs moving, propelling him forwards before he had even registered the threat. And then he was jumping in front of Daredevil and a deafening bang flooded the air.
The pain didn’t register at first. All he knew was that he was falling to the ground at a rapid pace. Then his head met the ground and the world was lost on him.

Summary
Zuko is trying to find his own food while he's at the Western Air Temple. He gets caught in an animal trap, and he knows with dead certainty that no one's going to look for him.
He was about to give up and turn around.
He stepped forward.
Snap!
It stopped his breath short as he met the dirt beneath him. Something was clamping around his foot. It felt like a million knives piercing through his skin and making their home. He opened his eyes through the blur of tears.
There was a metal contraption attached to his foot. Breathing through the sting of tears, he tried to get a better look.
He stopped breathing.
His heartbeat pounded in his ears.
It was coated in blood and wrapped around mangled flesh.

Summary
“Ever since he’s been back, it’s been freakishly slow. His heartbeat’s usually too fast, right? Well now it’s too slow,” Toph finishes with a shiver.
Sokka goes cold.
All of the little things were starting to piece together.
The shaking.
The stumbling.
The unnatural paleness.
The frigidness of his hands.
“He told me he was tired,” he breathes, imitating Toph and staring into the empty space where Zuko once was.
“Yeah, I’ve felt tired people, and they don’t feel like that.”
“He told me he was tired.”
