Summary
Burr smells him before he sees him for the first time.
He’s walking to a meeting he has with his advisor about his schedule next semester and the air around him changes from the crisp cool autumn New York air to smoke and roses. The change is sudden enough to cause him to pause mid-step to identify its source. The source identifies itself through a loud voice behind Burr’s shoulder.
“ Pardon me, are you Burr Burr, Sir?”
Burr turns and for a moment the entirety of his being comes to a stop. Standing before him is a male omega. It’s not the first one nor the last Burr will ever meet, he knows this. He has some in a few of his classes this semester. Great classmates and generally cool people, the kind he could see becoming lifelong friends if they got closer. But there is something about this male omega that immediately sets his teeth on edge.
Maybe it’s the way his scent has completely invaded Burrs’ senses. The roses and smoke are the only things he is aware of. ---------------
Burr and Alex meet at Columbia University. Alex is the unconventional omega and Burr is his parent’s legacy. That means marrying a proper omega, which Alex is not.

Unfortunately for those aides, and for Washington, and maybe for Hamilton, too, Burr was always gifted when it came to debauchery, and he never could leave a woman or an omega unsatisfied.
