Shiro steps forward a bit more, placing a hand on Keith’s shoulder, which seems to be one of the more neutral places on his body to touch. He quickly realizes his mistake, feeling himself begin to slick up at the feeling of Keith’s quiet, solid strength underneath his palm. “It means a lot to me that you thought that much about me,” Shiro says, trying to sound somewhat normal and not at all sultry.

Lance has dealt with quite a lot of weird shit during his tenure as a Paladin of Voltron. He's seen space castles, magic wormholes, flying mechanical lions, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Now, fate has thrown a new curve ball at him. Somehow, he and the Red Lion have found themselves in an alternative reality - or at least that's what the signs point to. All he knows is that the Red Lion is damaged and that he himself is injured. There's the small matter of crash landing on a planet, running into Not-Keith, the fact that Altea won the war in this universe apparently, and that Lance's doppelganger is part of the resistance movement.
Oh, and apparently Lance is soul-bonded to this universe's Keith now, whatever that means.

**This work has two versions. Chapter 1 is the original written with a smut tease. Chapter 2 is the result of alcohol informing me that there wasn't enough smut and was written after the original was already posted, hence not just posting the smutty version. Lance blinks. “An alpha? Like a… wolf?”
“Kind of?” Keith huffs miserably. “It’s sign of sexual maturity, I guess. A secondary gender. Some present as alphas, some as betas, and some as omegas.”
“Okay…” Lance says slowly, “so you’ve presented. How does being an alpha equate to you acting all bonkers?”
Keith winces. Lord above, he wants to do anything but have this horrible conversation. “The whole point of the secondary genders is to mate, basically. Um.”
Lance starts to grin, very clearly taking a good amount of pleasure in Keith’s misery, because he is the king of schadenfreude.
“Oh, I see.”
