After many years of service, Desolas Arterius is finally retiring for good. To honor his much-lauded efforts in the name of the Empire, the Turian Hierarchy has decided to grant him a vacation to anywhere of his choosing, with guests. He opts to invite his little brother, plus those other three who seem attached to Saren at the hip. The destination: Edessan, Valis Abrudas's homeworld she hasn't been back to in many years, in particular a place she's always wanted to visit. The place is beautiful, the company is great, and it looks like they're going to have a perfectly idyllic vacation in the forest.
The problem: It is, unfortunately, still a trip with multiple Arteriuses and their favorite cronies. When the first night devolves into ghost stories around the fire, somebody should have known things were already destined for trouble.

"Shepard?" He asked, coming to a stop next to the table and crossing his arms casually. He knew it was her, everyone in this galaxy and the next knew who Shepard was.
"I don't have time to answer stupid questions, merc. Just get to the point," she said brusquely and ashed her cigarette into an empty beer bottle. She nodded toward the bench seat across from her, subtle permission for him to join her smoke filled miniature hideaway. As he slid into the booth, trying to ignore the ever present groaning in his knees, he saw that Shepard sported a nasty burn scar from her cheek down the left side of her neck. She raised an appraising eyebrow at him, no doubt checking out his own permanent facial markings, before saying, "We can trade scar stories later, assuming you don't bore me. Name?"
He could appreciate a no nonsense woman. "Zaeed Massani," he answered simply. No doubt she'd heard of him. Every freelancer worth their salt this side of the goddamn Terminus systems knew his name.
