__“Anyways,” Asher chuckled when David gently nudged his shoulder. “I wanted to talk about…” The humor in his voice faded, and Asher resumed picking his nails. David hesitated. “I know this isn’t the appropriate place to have this conversation, but we’re gonna be too tired this week to talk about it anywhere else. Are you okay with that?”
“I-I don’t even know what we’re talking about, buddy.” Asher kept his eyes away from David, keeping a lookout so they were actually doing something.
“I want to talk about us,” David started. “And I want to talk about our relationship, i-if that’s okay. I just figured, since we won’t have any time to later because we’re gonna be so tired, and we have to be here the rest of the week, we could…do it now. If you want to.”

__“Marcus?” They called out to him, and he leaned his head out of his office so he could look at them with a smile.
“Yes, Love?”
“Why did you program me to find enjoyment in books if I have all the knowledge humanity has gained?” They tilted their head at him. He grinned and he stood up so he could walk over to them.
He looked at the books with fondness, then looked at them with the same amount.

Day 22- Haunt + “Having their hair washed by the other”
Imperium Asher and Imperium Darlin/David: Asher is haunted by the memories of Darlin and David when they were alive. He would like to be haunted while he’s awake, but they only come out when he dreams. And not many people remember their dreams.
__Christian warned them to plug their nose and hold their breath before he threw them into the water, smiling at them when they resurfaced and yelping when they lunged for him, gasping for breath.
David chuckled and grabbed Asher’s hand, pulling him closer. Asher looked up at him with gooey soft eyes and gasped when David pushed him into the water.
His eyes and nose burned quite a lot that day, but his Mate and his friend were smiling together, happy. Those memories were something Asher tried to desperately grab onto. Memories that would have probably gotten him through the days.
But when he tried to lean back into David during the chaos, he was leaning onto a ghost.
Not a memory.

They kiss him in the middle of the airport before they leave, and reassures him everything will be alright.
__Ivan’s eyes became serious, and he removed his hand from their chest so he could put his hand on their cheek and hold it gently. “Baby. I will always want to be with you. You’re not just my partner. You’re my best friend. My sunshine. The pen I use to sign documents. The rings on my fingers. You’re everything to me.”
They sniffled again and pulled him back in for another kiss, laughing against his lips. “You’re so sappy, Ivan.”
“Would you have me any other way?” They smiled and shook their head.
