There are a lot of reasons Doug is grateful to have met and fallen in love with and married Arthur. Dressing up in fancy human clothes and attending fancy human dances where all the fancy humans like to gawk at him is not one of them. Most notably because all this royal nonsense has a way of dampening Arthur's natural brilliance, and that's just criminal. Doug can't do much, but he can at least make sure Arthur doesn't have to face it all alone, not anymore.
