By the time she clawed herself back to her feet, stumbling to and fro like a sailboat in a choppy sea, the Automatons had surrounded them in force, lining the tops of the walls like crenellations. Summary
During the war with the Illuminate, Copper 9 was a world near the border of Illuminate territory and was used to study their technology. Built up with a large drone force to help with the construction of the world infrastructure, several of these drones were also used to test out Illuminate weapons and dark fluids.
However, as the war progressed, the Illuminate attacked Copper 9, resulting in massive levels of damage to the planet itself. And the human population was forced to flee, leaving behind the drones on the now toxic and broken planet.
Many years later, after the war, Super Earth's eyes are back on Copper 9, and several Helldivers are sent to Copper 9.
Yet they are not alone... And discover a hidden history of humanity.

The average lifespan for a helldiver is 2 minutes. From Operation Start to Helldiver termination, that's a lot of bodies to burn through, and a complex system of bureaucracy to deal with it. In a war that never really ends, what must it be like to be an operating observer to the endless stream of bodies? How do they even get the divers to follow protocols when some get smart about their situation? After all, even with how much propaganda they are inundated with from day one, the desire to live is fairly strong.
Lets partake in a unique perspective of these things, from an experimental branch of destroyers. From a particular kind of being whose thoughts are absolute, and whose protocols are not just law, but fundamental reality.

For centuries, the government of Super Earth has claimed dominion over the stars and the galaxy, ensnaring its people with constant propaganda that asserts their righteousness and truth. This regime has waged war against any power within its sights, eagerly seizing the opportunity of conflict to expand its reach. The Terminids were defeated and forced into slavery to harvest their organic oil. The Illuminate were cornered into an unjust peace treaty, leaving them weakened and vulnerable. The cyborgs were crushed into submission, their people compelled to obey the whims of Super Earth.
It seems there is no end in sight for this cold avatar of Democracy, with its legions of super soldier Helldivers and vast fleets of destroyer ships. However, with the resurgence of the Terminid rebellion, a new faction has emerged on the galactic stage, poised to deliver justice against Super Earth.
The Automatons have arrived, ready to shatter the status quo.
