Aubrey hovers over Stacie, waits calmly and sure enough the woman grows impatient with Aubrey’s lack of action, her brow furrowing and mouth setting in a displeased pout as she slowly opens her eyes, blinking against the morning light and giving her eyes a chance to adjust. She barely has a chance to take in Aubrey leaning over her, looking soft and sweet, before Aubrey dips her head down and brushes their lips together, Stacie’s expression smoothing out as Aubrey slowly but intently kisses her.

It came as a slight surprise to Stacie that Aubrey, the same Aubrey who had grown up in a strict and dysfunctional household, was just so good with her daughter.
Bella seemed to unearth a side of Aubrey that was just so unbelievably soft, a side Stacie is almost positive even Aubrey didn’t know existed. But there she is, sat on the carpeted floor in front of the coffee table, sat right next to Bella, drawing outlines for the four year old to colour in.

Carmilla Karnstein and Laura Hollis are trying for a baby, and find themselves in need of a surrogate. Through mutual friends of theirs, they are introduced to Chloe Beale, who has joined a polyamorous relationship with Beca Mitchell, Aubrey Posen and Stacie Conrad. Due to help raising Stacie's daughter Bella, Chloe wants to know what it's like carrying a baby to term, and agrees to be a surrogate for Carm and Laura, to the great concern of Beca, who due to a past incident and encounters, is cautious when it comes to the supernatural.
