Summary
Six months after the Lackadaisy closed, Zib and the band have ran out of options in St. Louis. When Sy runs across an advertisement for a competition in New Orleans, the band decides to take fate into their own hands and compete for chance at finally getting a record contract which will launch them into fame and fortune. On their southbound journey the band will surely have run-ins with the law, explore forbidden love, and encounters with musicians.

He meets someone new who takes the stranded tabby under his wing for four years until his cousin falls in love with one of his friends. He is fearful because of his cousin's upbringing and what would happen if things go wrong.

Calvin's mourns his loss and Mordecai's reunited with the Lackadaisy, but after what he's seen, what he's done, and what happened to Rocky? He wants to leave.
New troubles ensue as both sides, Lackadaisy and Marigold try to make their lives pass by. Groups trying to capitalize on the diminished power of the two staples of St. Louis.
