Alex Big Clappy and his buddy… “Buddy” enjoy incredibly odd and weird adventures, whether that be unknowingly against speakeasy framing attempts, or other maniacal circumstances, our lovely characters will remain untouched despite all!
UPD: I have decided to structure this like Lackadaisy was, so these chapter will be quite short. Click “Entire Work” to view the story easier without going “Next Chapter →” like a billion times.
UPD: I have added “Choose Not To Archive Warnings” as part of the archive warnings since a few themes a fraction of the population could react towards are in this story, but they are important to reading this in a non-spoiled, sequential format.

The Lackadaisy was in resurgence - clear as day for anyone who dared to care. This invited its own flavour of troubles and a slew of other revelations. Yet Atlas laid burried, his murderer still on the loose, and it was only a matter of time before the individual threads tangled together for a hellish dance. For Rocky, a stray newspaper article was all it took to alter his entire life's course, where he would be just a little less lonely - where he would be just a little less uncertain of who he truly was. All he needed was a Knight.

Before Atlas died and the Lackadaisy fell from grace, there was a time when Rocky Rickaby wasn't much more than a poet and violinist for a houseband. During his time working for the Mays, his manic tendencies and unhinged spirit was a double edged sword for the organisation, and many cats would consider it a miracle that he managed to stay. If you ask him he might say it was mostly luck, but if you pry you might find the truth; That it wasn't so much a "what", but a "who".
Mayhem comes in many forms, with the good always comes the bad, and sometimes all it takes is the presence of one person to dramatically shift the lives of so many for better or worse. This is the first act in the tale of Cecyl Clearwater's tumultuos time working with the Lackadaisy, how they met the love of their life, and ultimately turned the city of St. Louis upside down.

He already dreads working with the Savoys, but he is horrified by the fact that there is a little girl, Jenny, working there too! She lives on the premises, hiding under the noses of hotel guests and gathering information.
Mordecai sees too much of himself and —painfully— his sisters in her.A study on Mordecai’s different connections with different women, sisterhood and brotherhood, clashing cultures, broken families, childhood innocence, subordinate versus parasocial relationships, and the time’s unexplored world of neurodiversity.

Summary
We are introduced to Augustine. A poetic boy with a bright future ahead of him. He sits by the lake to watch the sunrise. He finds his best friend, Emilio Valbuena, reading a book under a tree. As Augustine invites Emilo to breakfast, they find their other friend, Elizabeth Esther Sinclair, and scare her. They head to the still-not-awake city for breakfast. At the diner, we meet a regular of the diner who happens to be Vivian Miller, other one of their friends. They eat breakfast together and head out to the city that is now wide awake. They notice a crowd of people surrounding the paper boy and waving coins in the air. Augustine buys one and reads the new to his friends. The mayor had been caught gambling tax revenue. And why hasn't he been arrested? Not sure? It's because they mayor holds to much power and the police are afraid of him. At this moment, we are introduced to a couple. Booker and Charles who are also friends with Augustine and the others.

Mordecai Heller, Atlas' bookkeeper and right-hand man, who kept a cold and calculating demeanor and preferred to work individually had somehow grew fond of Viktor's company. After nearly twenty five years of his existance, Mordecai wouldn't have envisioned himself in having any interest other than serving Atlas May and keeping his employer's empire at its peak.
Mordecai found himself to be self-efficient enough to keep Atlas' finances secure and organized. When Atlas hired Viktor as a triggerman, Mordecai found the surly Slovak to be boorish at best. Boorish being a generous definition amidst Mordecai's extensive vocabulary. If Atlas wasn't the one who had assigned them both to work together, the tuxedo cat would've critiqued Viktor of every single thing he disliked about the barrel-chested lug.
Viktor unnerved him.
