UPD: I have added “Choose Not To Archive Warnings” as part of the archive warnings since a few themes a fraction of the population could react towards are in this story, but they are important to reading this in a non-spoiled, sequential format.

This is a small outline of an idea I got while just sitting around. In this Alternate Universe Lackadaisy characters are Batman characters. This universe takes place in St. Gotham, which bares a resemblance and location to St. Louis Missouri, and Gotham City. Lackadaisy characters that are related to each other in Lackadaisy are still related in their Batman story, even if they aren’t related in the original Batman story. So Calvin and Rocky are still cousins, even though their Batman characters aren’t. The Lackadaisy characters are still cats in this AU, but if you want to change that you can.

For Rocky, a stray newspaper article was all it took to alter his entire life's course, where he would be just a little less lonely - where he would be just a little less uncertain of who he truly was. Summary
It's 1940 and Europe has descended into yet another war. Rocky Rickaby finds himself on the front lines, having volunteered for the RAF. Across the pond, Calvin is worried about what this war might mean for him and the family he shares with Ivy. He seeks help from the one cat he knows that can teach him how to survive this war should he become drafted, Ethan Kelly. Kelly, a veteran of the Great War who has become known as the "Ghost of Charlevaux", is wary about another war in Europe and fears for the safety of those he considers family such as Calvin and Rocky. In New York, Mordecai Heller is approached by friends of his mother to locate relatives caught up in the conflict.
They are joined by a cast of characters historic and fictional in an epic saga that will take them from the cliffs of Dover and green fields of France to the sands of Africa and the jungles of the Pacific. Gone are the days of Prohibition and the carefree times of youth. Follow along as the Greatest Generation and the new world comes forth to the liberation and rescue of the old!

Before Atlas died and the Lackadaisy fell from grace, there was a time when Rocky Rickaby wasn't much more than a poet and violinist for a houseband. During his time working for the Mays, his manic tendencies and unhinged spirit was a double edged sword for the organisation, and many cats would consider it a miracle that he managed to stay. If you ask him he might say it was mostly luck, but if you pry you might find the truth; That it wasn't so much a "what", but a "who".
Mayhem comes in many forms, with the good always comes the bad, and sometimes all it takes is the presence of one person to dramatically shift the lives of so many for better or worse. This is the first act in the tale of Cecyl Clearwater's tumultuos time working with the Lackadaisy, how they met the love of their life, and ultimately turned the city of St. Louis upside down.
