Mordecai Heller knew what he was getting into when he became a trigger man. Cutting all ties with his family, living in a kill or be killed world, and unable to settle down to find his match. He has long since come to terms with that. Long since given up on the childish dream of finding the person who shared the Mark that lovingly wrapped around his right wrist. Mordecai gave that up the moment he pulled the trigger to the gun for the first time. He knew that he could never have that comfortable domestic lifestyle, not with how his life was going. Having a Mark ment that he had a weakness to exploit. Mordecai couldn't have that.

But at night, she is a lounge singer at the Lackadaisy speakeasy that is hidden below the Cafe. She even has a part time job as a bootlegger, smuggling illegal booze into the speakeasy.
But after the mysterious death of speakeasy owner, Atlas May, Lackadaisy's popularity declines with only a few other patrons left.
Clary Sage, along with her lover, Rocky, Rocky's cousin Freckle, and her childhood best friend Ivy, are determine to do whatever it takes to keep the spirit alive. -
