Pushing people away and being an asshole was trademark for the imp. He lived for that thrill adrenaline gave him- to know he was having the most fun he could and cutting it all short before he ever felt the consequences. This was his unfortunate demise. His infamous name.

Asmodeus invites Stolas and Blitz back to his dressing room to discuss something, after getting accused of being a hypocrite. He's excited to discuss the aspects of falling in love with an imp that he typically has to hide, with someone who apparently understands, only to realize that Stolitz aren't quite at that phase of their relationship. So, he puts them on the spot and forces the two to reevaluate a few things, more directly and in a more positive direction than canon.
Blitz is pretty sure he's ruined Stolas's night, only to find out that maybe his Birdie's feelings for him are a little less superficial than he thought.-

Blitzø hated knowing that he was the cause of this, and part of him – the self-destructive, self-hating part – felt that it would’ve been better if Stolas had never shown up to save him, but he couldn’t deny the part of him that was thankful to have been able to return to his home with his daughter; he just wished Stolas hadn’t lost his home and his daughter for it to happen.
Blitzø is having a hard time understanding Stolas' sacrifice and he's not sure if he's strong enough to keep Stolas together when he's barely holding on himself.
