Hoping against hope Verosika would still have stars in her eyes when she saw him after a performance. Holding his breath for Fizz, time and time again, then with a letter and flower in hand. Quiet as they come, anchored to the floor as he held onto a shot in the dark as if it was all that he had.

Summary
Following the assassination of Prince Stolas and the subsequent hunt for his killers, I.M.P. has completely split up.
Moxxie and Millie have moved away, and Loona has moved out. All of them rarely contacting Blitzo anymore, even though he wanted to get the team back together.
Eventually, he did, but in the worst way possible, as Moxxie, Millie, and Loona later learn that Blitzo was killed in the yearly Extermination..
...or at least that's what Millie, Loona, and the rest of the public believe.
Only Moxxie knows the truth about Blitzo’s survival. But he made a promise to Blitzo that he would not tell anyone. A promise only to be broken if he ever needs Blitzo’s help.

In 2023, the entirety of Hell learned that the founder of the since-disbanded Immediate Murder Professionals, Blitzo Wire, was killed in the yearly Extermination.
Well.. that wasn't exactly true.
In actuality, Blitzo only faked his death to start a new life, with only his former employee, Moxxie Milkovich, knowing the truth.
10 years later, in 2033, Moxxie was forced to reveal the truth to his wife Millie, Blitzo's daughter Loona, and unexpected ally Rita Mayberry after threat made itself known. Thankfully, after reuniting with Blitzo, they were able to settle the situation, and nearly a year later, they were able to return to their normal and peaceful lives.
But, of course, the past will always catch up.
Blitzo's past makes yet another comeback when he reunites with the last person he wanted to see, Moxxie's past makes a comeback too, just as he comes down with a mysterious illness, Rita's past also comes back to haunt her in the worst way imaginable, and none of those come close to comparing with the more pressing issue: someone is out to kill Blitzo.
So now, the entire team must band together to take down all their problems, either one at a time or all at once.

It was just how he is, all those awful things already embedded into his soul, even if he tried to change – he couldn't, he had done that so many times, but he has always stayed as miserable or become even worse. It didn't even benefit him, trying to change.
"Stop wallowing, nobody likes you for that." He turned to look into the mirror, but turned away instantly, grimacing, not wanting to look at himself. "For that also" he sighed. "Also for talking to yourself, probably."
He put on a shoe. "You know what?" facing the mirror once again, he met his gaze in it. He pointed at himself, as if to accuse himself of something. Probably not doing anything with his stupid life. "We're going out for a walk. If we're being miserable we're doing it outside." he jumped on one foot, trying to reach the door. "World, here I come!"

Blitz finishes his candy and wipes his hands on his shorts. Then he walks around to the other side of the huge pile of items, pulling more tarps. When one is pulled, it reveals a large mirror, barely taller than Blitz. He looks at himself and does finger guns, but then notices something is very wrong, and very missing. His scar, it isn’t there. It’s spooky, seeing his face like that again. He steps closer to it and touches his cheek, noticing his hand in the mirror is also scar-less. He blinks and steps back from the mirror.

The chains that bound him by the neck and wrist were gone, only phantom sensations of needles digging into his skin. Prickling sensations shot up his spine, everyone had their eyes on him. Afraid to move another step, he massaged the back of his neck— knowing damn well the pain was going to be unbearable tomorrow. Turning on his heel, he offered his daughter a feeble smile, dry tears streaking her delicate gray fur.
He stopped mid-wipe. A smooth, warm liquid coated and oozed from his back cranium, borderline inches from his left horn. His back rigid, he felt the blood-like substance rub between his fingers, removing his hand from the wound and facing it. Raising his claws into the air, it sure as hell didn’t look like normal, red, dark, sinner’s blood.
