Meanwhile, both men take the steps in fixing the twenty plus years of friendship that kept them grounded and realize that they forgot how good it was being friends.

Aesir didn’t need to be told twice. Blitzø physically felt the wind whoosh behind him as the man ran like a bat out of hell. The silence that ensued was even more aggravating than the interruption. Blitzø continued facing the wall, knowing he was about to face a verbal firing squad. Nothing came, except for the frustration of being utterly and truly blue-balled.

Blitz tugged at the tendril that was holding onto him but it still wouldn’t budge. Trying to hook his claws underneath it and pry it off didn’t work either, and he almost lost his balance with the force he was putting into trying to untangle it from him.
“What’s your fucking damage, Twoey?” Blitz almost growled, leaning down towards the bushes only bloom as he tried in vain to tug his leg free.
The plant responded by huffing purple smoke into his face.
