“Silver One.” And there's something almost like grief in it. “You have never understood. This was decided long before your kind drew breath.”
“Tairn—” The name is a sob, across the distance, across the bond.
“Dragon matters do not bend to human wars.”
~~
When Tairn finds his mate across the battlefield, Violet has no choice in what follows.
Torn between loyalty and the new bonds she can't deny, maybe it's surrender that takes the most courage...

Summary
Kaida has spent her entire life around creatures most people would rather keep their distance from.
Her family has studied magical creatures for generations, with dragons being one of their main areas of research. Growing up around researchers, field notes, old books and more stories about dangerous creatures than most people would ever want to hear, Kaida has always been interested in understanding them rather than simply fearing them.
But there is one thing her family’s research cannot truly teach her: dragons bonded to riders.
So, for the first time in her family’s history, Kaida finds herself at Basgiath War College.
She knows more about magical creatures than most first-years, but that doesn’t exactly make surviving Basgiath any easier. Between classes, training, difficult instructors, new friendships, unfamiliar faces and the general chaos of being a first-year, Kaida slowly gets used to a life that is very different from the one she grew up with.
Among the riders at Basgiath is Garrick Tavis, known by most as The Big One. A Rider Second Lieutenant and one of the college’s most formidable fighters, Garrick has already made a name for himself long before Kaida arrives.

*Fourth Wing Spoilers*
Cadet Isla Blair is a First Year in the Healer Quadrant. She has a particular distaste for riders after having to stitch so many of them up all year, just for them to return and need more stitches. Also to add, dodging their flirty advances almost at all times. That is, until a special assignment has her caring for a particularly charming tall blonde rider with sky blue eyes that has a nasty wound inflicted by a sword. But, as we all know, their romance can only be short lived and full of tragedy. Luckily, Basgiath isn't short of handsome riders that will help her along her grief and journey. There might just be a bed-hopping frog or two along the way, or maybe one that's fluent in Krovlish.

Second Squad had been running into them for months.
Somehow, despite being on separate tours, they and Dragons' Runes kept getting booked at the same festivals. Second Squad wasn't quite as big so while they were main stage at most of them, they weren't headliners. Not like the Runes.
It wouldn't be a problem, Violet Sorrengail mused, if it weren't for Xaden Riorson.

Violet and Liam are inexplicably drawn to one another, something more than friendship but neither of them dare to cross the line when they know that Violet and Xaden are inevitable...
I don't know how I feel about this story but I wanted to explore what it could look like if Liam had fallen for Violet and she had feelings for him which were blinded by her attraction and bond to Xaden.

A Fourth Wing Fanfiction | Xaden Riorson x OC | Fourth Wing & Iron Flame Spoilers
Lila Morgan didn’t expect to wake up after she jumped. She definitely didn’t expect to wake up in the world of Fourth Wing—the book that once kept her alive through her darkest nights.
But this isn’t a dream. It’s not fiction. And surviving here takes more than knowing what’s “supposed” to happen.
Now living as Liora Emberveil, she convinces herself this is a second chance. A chance to be braver. Stronger. Someone worth something. She becomes the version of herself she always wished she could be. But no matter how far she runs, she can’t outrun what’s inside her.
Because the truth is, Lila didn’t come here healed—she came broken.
Anxious, self-destructive, and lost in a world she no longer controls, Liora fights to hold onto the mask she’s built. But as her decisions begin to shift the future—and as the guarded, infuriatingly observant Xaden Riorson starts to see through her—she’s forced to ask the one question she’s never faced:
If you’re not who you were, and you’re not who you pretend to be... then who are you?

Summary
A feel-good (read: emotional recovery) take on Fourth Wing because the books really put us through something. It's for those who are still recovering from the aftermath of the brilliance and fabulousness of Rebecca Yarros’ writing. Something to soothe the heartbreak, or at least take the edge off.
In this series, the rebellion succeeded, but life has a way of demanding our two main characters to find each other anyway.

Summary
The smell of paint captured Xaden's attention, that strange girl who had saved them smelled of paint, a lingering trail, subtle, but unmistakable, he watched her once more curiously, his onyx gaze roaming over her, looking for any clue as to who she was. Her hands looked delicate, there he discovered the trail of colors staining her skin, an artist he supposed.
He notice flowers in her hair, her posture, her bright gaze, the way she smiled it was with such grace that it tightened his chest. Without any expectation the girl extended a flower toward him.
“Here” The simple act left him unsettled, almost still as a statue, disbelief and surprise clouding his features. Such a simple act and he looked like a child. His scowl and cold stare, the one he was already so comfortable with, seems to slip for a second
Who the hell was that girl?
“There you are.” she mutters with a smile, as if she had gotten what she wanted. Leaving him standing there, with the damn flower in his hand.
And he hates it. She couldn't be so many colors when his life was completely gray

Summary
Summary: While Tyrenndor’s First Queen is my guilty pleasure fanfic (which will be continued), it has gotten me thinking about what would happen in the book had Tyrenndor actually gained independence. I’ve concluded that, while most things would remain the same, these things would be different: 1) Tyrenndor would have opened its own rider’s college where all their kids (without their rebel marks) would have gone and 2) Lillith would not have sent Violet into the Rider’s Quadrant if she didn’t have Xaden to protect her kid. Which means Violet would have gone into the Scribe’s Quadrant and her mother probably would have let slip that Violet’s father was studying feathertails before his passing, making Violet investigate them herself and keeping her safely inside the wards. But we all know that a certain feathertail would have been quite ready to allow Violet the ability to study her. Which starts a slippery road that leaves Violet still bonded to both dragons and with Xaden’s ring on her finger. Think of this fic as Tyrenndor’s First Queen if I took it seriously.
