Summary
Heat, nerves, a tide of emotion. He's like a slice of home. There's an overwhelming desire to run and hug him that, of course, she doesn't act upon. And a sudden pang of sadness that he never called after the baby was born.

Set pre-401. A story of how Carrie ends up in Kabul instead of Istanbul, and about an induction trip to meet with Bachman in Islamabad. From Quinn's POV then Carrie's POV. Again, liberties taken, not intended to be canon-compliant. Stand alone one-shot, but roughly written as a follow-up to an earlier fic, which I have now linked as a series.Series

Summary
This is post-season 4 re-imagined. In this, Carrie manages to successfully blackmail Dar, Saul is not a traitor, Quinn comes back home after two missions, and the aftermath of what happens when they see each other again. Navigating the domestic normalcy of life without a life-risking mission around every bend is something I've always wanted to see Quinn and Carrie do, so I fixed the ending of season 4 to show what I imagine would have happened between them.
