Summary
President Coriolanus Snow got his soulmark—words written on the inside of his left forearm, in dark green—when he was sixty-two. He figured out quickly that his soulmate had to be much younger than he, and that she had to be District. This puzzled Coriolanus, because he merely tolerated people from Districts One and Two, and loathed everyone in the other eleven districts.
The first words that Katniss Everdeen ever learned to read were the white words, displaying perfect penmanship, that were written on the inside of her right lower leg. But Katniss reading for herself the soulmark-words only confused her more, because the words made no sense.
Be assured that there will be no sex, nor hints of sex, between 78-year-old Snow and 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen.
Some of you who are fans of Soulmates stories will be disappointed by this story. Katniss and Peeta are not soulmates here; whereas Katniss and Coriolanus are soulmates, but not the “regular” kind. The closest that K&C ever get to Love for the Ages will be a grudging mutual respect.
This Alternate-Universe story will be very alternate; I’m spiking the canon. (Katniss becomes president of Panem at age eighteen.)

The new inspector is beautiful. It’s Gale’s first thought when he sees her, golden hair and big, expressive eyes and legs that go on for days under her regulation black pencil skirt. She’s beautiful and Gale has never trusted beautiful things.
His second thought is that she’s in over her pretty little head. Tonight’s mission is going to be rough, he can already tell, and she’s standing there wide eyed showing Inspector Mellark her shiny new credentials with no idea what’s in store for her. She laughs at something Mellark says, tucking her badge back into her coat pocket, and Gale flicks out his cigarette, crushing it under his heel.
He leans over to Abernathy, who’s always ready for a joke at a rookie’s expense, but the man’s staring at the new girl like she’s a damn ghost. Before he can ask what that’s all about, Everdeen is walking past, elbowing him in the arm with a hissed, “Don’t even think about it.”
Gale scowls, “I wasn’t thinking about anything.”
“That figures,” Mason snarks, “When are you ever?”

Summary

All they ever do is suffer at the hands of the Capitol. However, while the other districts plot the downfall of the Capitol during the 3rd Quarter Quell, or the Annual 75th Hunger Games, the Careers are not invited to help destroy their tormentors. And after the fall of the arena, the war, and the fall of the Capitol, only one of the four Quell Careers is left to share their story.

Summary
There was a large Capitol gathering during the spring leading up to the 74th Annual Hunger Games, thrown by none other than the President of Panem himself, to congratulate some wealthy sponsor family or another for the graduation of their granddaughter or something along those lines. To be honest, none of the Victors had noted exactly why the party was being thrown, just that they were stuck attending by order of the President, and none of them were too keen to disobey Coriolanus Snow.
(The mentors are invited to a party during the off season of the games, allowing them to see one another outside of the tense environment of the Mentor's Room. They use the party as a way to steal some little moments where they can be with their friends without watching as their tributes slaughter each other.)
