Summary
This is the next in the series of "cut" scenes--ideas that I have had, that would fit, more or less, into the D3 movie. Each idea will stand alone, but will all exist in the same universe.
Most of these ideas will either have Adam, or Julie, as the main character, because they are my two favorite characters within the Mighty Ducks trilogy.
This particular scene takes place after the game of roller hockey. It's a conversation between Charlie, and Adam. Short, and to the point.

Adam swallowed hard, the weight of her words pressing down on him. His mom had threatened to leave before, but she’d never said it like this. His heart raced as he stepped closer to the doorway, careful not to make a sound.
His dad spoke again, but his voice had dropped lower. “Where are you going?”
“I need to get out of here. I can’t breathe in this house.”
Adam heard the sound of keys jangling, the front door creaking open. He moved just in time to see his mom walk out, the door closing with a soft thud behind her.
The house fell into silence again, but this time it wasn’t the kind of silence that came with peace. It was thick, tense, like the calm before a storm. Adam stood frozen in the hallway, his heart thudding in his chest. He heard his dad curse under his breath, followed by the sound of heavy footsteps pacing in the living room.

He wanted to say something. He wanted to ask Charlie why. Why now? Why this close to the wedding? Why hadn’t they talked about this years ago, when maybe–just maybe–they could have figured it out before Charlie’s life had become so tangled up with Linda’s?
But he didn’t ask. He couldn’t.
Because the truth was, Adam wasn’t ready for those answers. He wasn't ready to face what this meant–for either of them.
So instead, he just looked at Charlie. Looked at the man who had been his best friend for so many years. The man he had loved in ways he wasn’t supposed to. The man who was about to marry someone else, and walk out of Adam’s life in a way he might never come back from.
And then, without a word, Adam turned and walked out the door.

It wasn’t fair. Charlie knew that, deep down. Adam hadn’t asked to be thrown into varsity; he hadn’t asked to be part of this mess, to be yanked from the Ducks to join the older team. But knowing that didn’t make it hurt any less. Knowing it didn’t stop the bitterness that festered in Charlie’s chest as he spotted Adam standing outside the campus gates, looking like he was waiting for something–or someone.
Charlie’s fists clenched at his sides as he approached, footsteps heavy and full of purpose. Adam didn’t notice him at first, but when he did, his blue eyes widened in surprise.
“Charlie,” Adam called out, his voice calm but cautious, like he was trying to avoid setting off a bomb.
Too late.

Charlie has been watching Adam Banks over-work himself for far too long. He can't keep watching the man he loves destroy himself but Adam can't seem to see the issue.
Adam has to keep working hard. He has to keep Charlie and everyone else happy. He can't give anyone a reason to leave him.
Essentially it's a story about two boys who are terrified of losing each other.

Things like this happen all the time at the club, so why does he feel like his world is caving in? Why is does everything feel so much harder than it did days ago?

"Nice, huh? I think I make the best sandwiches," Dean said, puffing up his chest in a playful manner. "What do you think, Adam? You could be my sandwich tester anytime."
"Definitely! If your sandwiches are half as good as your shots, I'm in!" Adam replied, her enthusiasm evident. Charlie shifted uncomfortably in his seat, trying to ignore the growing jealousy swirling inside him.
"Yeah, I guess," Charlie said, forcing a smile as he took a small bite of his own lunch. "But I think I'll stick to my own stuff for now."
