Summary
In an alternate universe, Wade Ripple follows his dreams of making music. His parents are supportive and caring throughout his journey at a young age. One day he is scouted by Ty Phuong, an old producer looking for young talent. He uses Wade to form a boy band with 4 members; Angel Falls, Font Sailor, Creek Mill, and Wade Ripple. The members formed the band known as Mainstream. They experience almost instant success because of Wade's excellent writing ability.
However, what initially seemed like a dream come true, quickly became Wade's worst nightmare. In the wake of his father's death, he finds himself stuck in fear of letting his parents' dreams for him die. After the band's first world tour, they end up back in Element City where their manager booked them a room in a run-down hotel in Firetown. That's when Wade unexpectedly meets a fire woman in a random fire shop he visits one late night.

Summary
In the world of Elemental (2023), Element City is founded by the tenacious fire elements. It is home to many elements: Fire, Earth, and Air included. The recently 'incorporated' water people who immigrated from Iceland live on the outskirts of Element City in Watertown.
Coal Lumen (Fire!Wade) is a soft and sweet fire guy with trouble at work trying to solve a problem in the city. Talia Ripple (Water!Ember) is a hot-headed and ambitious water girl just trying to prove herself to her parents that she is ready to run their family ice shop, The Fountain. Their paths cross multiple times and they end up solving each other's problems together.

Story takes place in between right after the flood and boarding the ship. Ember and Wade's relationship grows quickly as two consenting adults in love would. We get to see how Ember and Wade decide on living together, before marriage it seems, which we learn is not normal in Firish culture. We see the repairs of the flood happening. Ember's creative growth. Wade having trouble with "thought bubbles". Ember and her dad work things out. Rated M because Ember and Wade are in their mid twenties and adult stuff happens. It's my first written fan fic though I have be a consumer for years on multiple movies and shows. I just got tired of waiting for more Elemental romance stories that I decided to write one. I did read Unlikely Friends for inspiration but not following it exactly. A little background about me I'm a comic book artist and writer who's a big disney/pixar/studioghibli fan. Some behind the scenes, I wrote this in the style of "flash cards" or bullet point sentences first before fully writing it out into chapters. Grammar and editing done myself so.... Sorry in advanced (please critique) and Enjoy!

Elements don't mix, Clod has never cared. Why should he? Love knows no bounds. But can a heart already given to another hold Clod?
If there isn't space in Ember's heart for Clod, there definitely is in her fat ass.

Summary

Ember Lumen is a fiery, tough, quick-witted, and surprisingly creative Fire woman who lives in Element City, preparing to run her family's shop located in Firetown despite a conflict stirring in her. When her temper gets the best of her and causes an accident, she meets Wade, a fun, sappy, genuine, go-with-the-flow Water guy who's a member of Element City's Lunar Guard but strangely never sees proper combat.
Their very chemistries warn them to stay apart, and yet, being together lets them challenge their beliefs and what they thought was possible.
A partial retelling of Elemental in a fantasy world with a bit of combat, written for fun and experimentation. Draws from both the movie and the novel adaptation, Unlikely Friends. Titled for the school of magic in Dungeons and Dragons that encompasses most elemental spells.

Especially when seeing Gale for the first time in months asking her for a glass of the Windbreakers, never mind knowing who it was for.
