Amazing POV for Suzaku as he is constantly going through it with his suicidal ideation and the mental conflict he faces throughout the story is just very well written, some of the reasons why Suzaku's my favorite character from the show. I also very much appreciate how, even without geass, Lelouch has still convinced Suzaku to want to live after meeting him. The same essentially goes for Lelouch as well, instead of geass encouraging Lelouch's actions to a more purposeful life, it's Suzaku encouraging him. Truly this story is a perfect embodiment of geass as a silent yet persistent wish. Also the concept of fearing the uncertainess of the future, aka the embodiment of Lelouch/Zero, is absolutely perfect for Suzaku who is set on such predertermined goals, morals, and outcomes. The only dissapointing thing is that the story ended 💔 the story building and utilization of character POVs at certain moments was perfect.

He had dropped some of both the cynicism and Idealism that had plagued him in his previous chance, and replaced it with realism, he wanted to help people, to make the world a better place, to make good on the chance offered to him, but he knew of the difficulty of the matter.

Tumbleton was a mess of a city, with over a hundred thousand people living in a valley that was way too small to comfortably house that many, and Kallen hated her every waking moment within the city more than she hated having to act as a frail girl in her previous life. It was dark, dry, and always too cold, and having to work ten hours a day to support her and her brother was a pain in the ass, at least she had not had to lower herself to joining one of the many brothels.

Lord Bismarck Waldstein, First Knight of the Round Table, only ever had one regret. That for all that he had done, all his victories, and all his sacrifices, he had no son.
His prayer would be answered in 2001 AD, when the Federal Republic of Krugis collapsed; after having dominated the Middle East for nearly a century. As the region descended into chaos, the Empire of Iran - led by Shah Darius Ismail - called upon the Holy Empire of Britannia for aid. Britannia would save Iran from its enemies, at the price of its independence.
These events would change the world, and for none moreso than Bismarck himself. For upon the streets of Tehran, he found a young boy fighting for his life; a boy with a lion's heart, but no future. His name was Soran.
So it was that Bismarck Waldstein took an orphan boy as his son. As Alexander Waldstein, Soran would make his own future.
And the world would be changed forever.
