Bruce Wayne took his boy.
Harvey has been fighting the impulse to snatch him up off the street and tuck him away somewhere safe because it did not feel like the right thing to do; because nothing felt like the right thing to do, and the moment he lost sight of Jason the bat swooped in and took Harvey’s boy.
His mouth tastes like whiskey. He’s falling down the stairs.
There is blood on Harvey’s knuckles. Blood in Harvey’s teeth.
He’s kicking the shit out of someone in an alleyway. There’s a distant awareness that they’ve been begging him to stop, but they’re awfully quiet now. Harvey looks at one of his men standing nearby, and they wordlessly reach into their pocket and pull out a flask, offering it to him without hesitation.
Harvey takes it, and drains it dry. Everything is a fucking nightmare.
Then it gets worse.
