“Knighted you shall be, Anakin Skywalker,” Yoda said, his voice trying to be calm and wise, but it only grated on Anakin's nerves. “A general, the Republic needs. Lead a battalion of clones, you will.”
Anakin stared at Yoda, then at the other Masters. His gaze fell on Obi-Wan, who sat in his new seat, looking all calm and collected, as if nothing about this situation was strange or wrong. The Council, the Republic, the clones, the war—it was all barreling ahead like a speeder with no brakes, and no one seemed to think that maybe, just maybe, they were heading straight for disaster.
The silence stretched, the air thick with tension. The Council waited for his response. They expected him to jump at the chance—become a Jedi Knight, a general, lead troops into battle. Save the Republic. Once upon a time, he would have jumped at the chance of being the hero.
But now, is not then.
“Yeah, no,” Anakin said finally, leaning back in his chair like he was bored out of his mind.

Padmé's expression turned thoughtful, her eyes searching Anakin’s face for answers she wasn’t sure she wanted to hear. After a long pause, she spoke again, her voice soft and uncertain, carrying more weight than either of them wanted to acknowledge. "Where does this leave us, Anakin?"
Anakin felt a pang in his chest, his heart heavy with the inevitable conversation he’s been avoiding for a while. He smiled, but it was a sad, resigned smile. One that held more understanding than words could convey. “Padmé,” he began quietly, “you’ve always been my angel. I’ve admired you since the day we met, and I always will. But…” He hesitated, glancing away for a second before meeting her gaze again. “I can’t feel that kind of attraction. Not for anyone.”
Padmé held his gaze, her brown eyes soft but full of questions. She didn’t pull away from him, didn’t flinch, but Anakin could feel her emotions swirling through the Force—disappointment, sadness, a tinge of heartbreak. She hid it well behind her ever-graceful smile, but the Force didn’t lie. He could sense the ache beneath the surface, the sadness behind her brave face.

Anakin didn’t answer immediately, a half-smirk tugging at his lips as he tapped a finger absently against the console. “And miss out on all the fun?” he said finally, his tone dry. “Where’s your sense of adventure, Threepio?”
“My sense of adventure, sir, is precisely calibrated for situations that don’t involve you blowing up government facilities!” Threepio shot back, his arms flailing for emphasis. “You’ve been declared persona non grata on five planets! Five! I’m surprised we haven’t been intercepted by the Senate yet.”
“Mostly because we have been mavericking around the wild space and the outer rim, you know the Senate does not care what happens here,” Anakin let out a low chuckle, the sound warm but tinged with weariness. “Relax, Goldenrod. We’ve been through worse.”
“Worse?” Threepio nearly screeched, throwing his hands up. “Worse than being chased off a planet by an angry mob with pitchforks? What could possibly qualify as—”

It's been thirteen years since the fall of Darth Sidious, since the Republic was saved from the manipulations of the Sith by the Hero With No Fear, Anakin Skywalker. The Republic is at peace after the end of the Clone Wars, but Anakin finds that there is none of that peace for him. Not when he'd lost EVERYTHING that night. But Obi-Wan is worried about his best friend and brother, so they take on the promising twin younglings, Luke and Leia as their padawans. But what nobody knows, except for Anakin himself, is that the twins are his children, and they, and the galaxy, are in danger from a threat everyone believes to be dead. A story of discovery, secrets, healing, and family- both found and blood. All while Anakin tries to keep his children safe, his secrets hidden, and the galaxy safe.

A work where Anakin has a few secrets he's kept from Obi-Wan. With the death of Count Dooku and the end of the Clone Wars in sight, he's been assigned by the Jedi Council to spy on the Chancellor, and Anakin has had enough. He's tired, and weary, and sick of hiding his relationship with his wife, Padmé, especially after he found out that he's going to be a father. But surprisingly, Obi-Wan manages to convince the Council to let Anakin accompany him to capture Grievous, he welcomes the distraction. Afterwards, Anakin and Obi-Wan have a heart-to-heart, and things get... better, for a time, before they inevitably get worse again. I mean, who are we kidding- it's the Jedi Council. I promise this story is worth it, and I'm willing to continue it if y'all want, but I really suck at writing interesting and engaging summaries. Also, this is my first fic that I've chosen to publish, so constructive, but KIND criticism and feedback is appreciated. Thanks, and happy reading!

Anakin Skywalker was a slave until he was bought and freed by Cliegg Lars, where he had a happy adolescence. When his mother dies, he experiences a surge of the Force which alerts the Sith recruiter, Obi-Wan Kenobi, who sets his sights on him to tempt to the Dark Side.

Summary
Obi-Wan has a steady job teaching at the university, a low-rate mortgage on comfortably sized condo in a nicer part of the city, and a respectable social circle. He has no criminal record, no sordid past he’s hiding, he’s in relatively good health, and his friends tell him he would make for an excellent romantic partner.
But Obi-Wan’s not looking for love. That’s far too big a commitment. If love is to find him, it will have to hunt him down and kidnap him first. He usually satisfies himself with pretty young things he meets at bars, but unlike his usual taste in lovers, the doe-eyed graduate student that Obi-Wan keeps finding in the wrong library doesn’t seem to notice his flirting. He might have to spell out his intentions if he wants something more.
Though Anakin is far from the only oblivious one in their library.
