Summary
Anakin Skywalker was his greatest asset, even if he hadn’t started out as such.
His will to live was admirable, as was his desire to fight, and he was as dramatic as he was breathtaking, yet it was that very bold nature that made him such a danger.
Not only a danger to his carefully laid out plans, plans that had taken years to take shape and form, but a danger to Obi-Wan himself. His greatest asset was fast becoming his biggest weakness.
And how Obi-Wan hated weaknesses.

Peace was a promise Anakin could never keep. Peace was for those who could still dream, whose lives weren’t set upon a violent course before they were ever born. Peace was a lie.
Obi-Wan was free to dream of peace; Anakin would stay awake until the end.

Summary
Well, some things were beyond Anakin’s understanding.
Yet here he was, morning after morning. Not in a lavish palace, but charming Anakin, and not for free caf, and not for a favor he couldn’t hope to repay even if he wished.
Simply for the pleasure of seeing Anakin’s smile.
The galaxy may not have been fair, but every once in a while, it threw you a boon that you would have been a fool to question.
Anakin has a past he would rather leave buried—and what better way to do that than to become just another one in a trillion souls on Coruscant. Now working in a tiny caf house, he can't say his life is good. But it is peaceful.
Other than the handsome regular that steals his attention, and perhaps his heart.

Summary
Obi-Wan has a steady job teaching at the university, a low-rate mortgage on comfortably sized condo in a nicer part of the city, and a respectable social circle. He has no criminal record, no sordid past he’s hiding, he’s in relatively good health, and his friends tell him he would make for an excellent romantic partner.
But Obi-Wan’s not looking for love. That’s far too big a commitment. If love is to find him, it will have to hunt him down and kidnap him first. He usually satisfies himself with pretty young things he meets at bars, but unlike his usual taste in lovers, the doe-eyed graduate student that Obi-Wan keeps finding in the wrong library doesn’t seem to notice his flirting. He might have to spell out his intentions if he wants something more.
Though Anakin is far from the only oblivious one in their library.

Summary
He could hear Garen and Siri laughing quietly behind their hands, but he ignored them as he look at the bunch of newcomers in front of him. No one stood out to him, but as he was about to begin speaking, a young man came crashing through the door, startling everyone.
“Sorry!” The young man explained as he unzipped his jacket and approached the group. His long, and golden, hair shone under the white light of the ER, creating the illusion of a halo around his face.
Obi-Wan raised an eyebrow, unimpressed, as he dug his fingernail into the inside of his palm.
“And you are?” He asked, not bothering to mask the condescending tilt of is voice.

Summary
Obi-Wan entered his section of the facility, marked simply by a little black and white placard reading “Anakin” and underneath that “Researcher Kenobi’s supervision required for all personnel beyond observation room” in smaller text. He didn’t even look at the sign, just pressed his keycard against the lock and opened the door.
The room beyond was so dark that three of the walls were barely visible. Everything framed the fourth one, a massive pane of glass with water on the other side. Brightly-colored underwater flora decorated the bottom of the tank, nestled in amidst genuine ocean floor sand and rock. In one nearby corner, there were a handful of rocks that were different from the others, in the process of being chipped away at the way a sculptor might.
And, of course, in the middle of it all was Anakin.(Obi-Wan visits his mermaid research subject, Anakin, and gets a little more than he'd thought he would.)

Four years ago, Obi-Wan never returned from a solo mission, and was written off as dead by the Jedi High Council. Anakin was reassigned to a new master and was expected to move on with his training. But Anakin could not, would not, forget Obi-Wan. Now, on the day of Anakin's Knighting, Anakin is finally free to search for Obi-Wan and bring him home.
