Barbara is endlessly loyal and has dedicated her life to her boss, having pretty much no life outside of it… except for her sometimes hanging with her bestie And fellow top Henchwomen, Kara Danvers AKA Supergirl. When Supergirl gets fed up with not getting any credit from Superman, the two split (on admittedly pretty good terms considering the circumstances, as Superman is a humorously for the most part a strangely polite, dorky guy who just so happens to be a Supervillain), ultimately inspiring Batgirl to reexamine her own relationship with Batman…. Causing her to get fired When she asks for a raise. Having completely given up any semblance of a social life or picking up skills to get a normal job, Barbara is ready to sulk in her apartment forever… but of course, Kara isn't going to let that happen and, with ALOT of convincing, gets her to start her own criminal empire! Shenanigans ensue from there as Barbara slowly but surely gets into it, with a petty Batman occasionally trying to sabotage her when he can get away with it.
