“Sam?” asked Bucky softly from the door, “Can I come in?”
Sam could figure this out on his own. He knew how to groom himself. How to choose an outfit. How to be a person.
But… but he was allowed to lean on people, right? He was allowed to lean on Bucky.
Sam opened the door. Bucky smiled at Sam. Like he was beautiful despite the fact that he just came back from a month-long mission and his facial hair was a mess. Like Sam wasn’t freaking out for no reason over the fact that they were having friends over for a nice-ish dinner.
“Stop looking like that,” grumbled Sam, feeling his face heat as he turned his eyes away from Bucky, “You’re making me self-conscious.”
Bucky leaned his hip on the counter, grabbing the shaving cream.
“Don’t be like that,” murmured Bucky as he sprayed shaving cream into his hand, “You’d look like a swoony even if you were wearing a potato sack.”

EXCERPT:
Sam heard the moans. The wet sound of teeth and lips and flesh. The ooze of blood into a mouth. She was writhing in ecstasy under his ministrations. Whoever the woman was paling in the moonlight, growing anemic with every slow suck from Bucky’s mouth.
Bucky and the woman locked eyes with Sam. They were both lost in a haze of need.
Bucky was a monster.
He was.
Blood poured from his mouth. Stained his cream-colored linen suit and satin peach button-down. Stuck in his five-o’clock shadow. Dripped from his long hair.
His impossibly blue eyes were ethereal; captivating; insatiable. His pupils were still blown as he wiped the blood from his lips with a handkerchief, as the woman slowly slid down the bricks of the back-alley wall.
She was still breathing. Her eyes fogged over.
Sam shouldn’t want this.
“Samuel,” Bucky drawled, still dripping blood.

Sam squinted, feeling somehow both sore all over the place and a little numb. He yawned, feeling the air on his throat. Sam felt arms around him, ankles hooked around his. Sam panicked, because he had to have slept through his alarm somehow, he was going to be late for work, but the body around him held him closer.
“Hey. It’s okay,” whispered Steve softly onto Sam’s skin, “I called in sick for you for work today. You’re good.”
Sam relaxed. Vaguely, Sam remembered that from last night. Sam remembered… a lot from last night. It had been so much.
Fuck.
“I don’t think I could walk, even if I wanted to,” said Sam to the ceiling.
“That’s why I have muscles, Sam,” said Steve with a kiss on Sam’s shoulder, “Better to pick you up with.”
“I think you got those because of a super soldier serum you took,” said Sam, snorting.

Riley let the question hang in the air until Sam realized what he was asking.
“Oh. Yeah. No, I’m not – it’s a job. I called in. Let’s just. Let’s see how we feel about this, and if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, okay?” said Sam.
Riley gave Sam a tentative smile as he grabbed his drink from Eli.
“Okay,” said Riley, “I guess… it wouldn’t hurt. If you’re fine with this.”

Summary
Sam Wilson has strict parents. Like, "dictates every part of his life even though he's eighteen" type of strict, and Sam is over it. They don't listen to him and all they seem to care about is him proving his worth, not about his happiness.
Enter James "Bucky" Barnes. Resident "bad boy" at Shield High. Long hair, leather jacket, tattoos scattered across his right arm and chest, the whole nine yards. The thing is, snarky as he was, James barely got in trouble. Far as anyone knew, he kept good grades, certainly didn't bully anyone, and he was always respectful to the teachers so long as they properly earned it. Truthfully, he was the furthest thing from a bad person that could possibly exist. He looked intimidating, but that was about it.
In an effort to get his parents to see that he is capable of making decisions for himself, Sam sets out to "date" James. Fake date, of course. Really, he just wants to make his parents mad, maybe scare them a bit, to show them he's grown up. Surely, he won't fall in love with the annoying, snarky asshole with a staring problem...right?
