Summary

The wounds of the boar’s tusks dig deep, however, for her father is a monster. Richard III, the crook-backed king of Shakespeare, walks upright, and has become a monster out of a man’s nightmares.
Ravka is bereft of its Sun Summoner, for one has never appeared. In its place, the Lantsov's former second son is corrupted with a darkness that would make lesser men tremble. Now, he is a newly annointed king in a country on the brink of anarchy.
With the British Empire under the sway of a fascist king, it is up to Cecily to slay the boar that has made its home in London. England needs a savior, Ravka needs a Queen. Nikolai needs a wife. But Cecily needs only her purpose.
