Its all painstakingly familiar now; these are the same grisly chains used to strangle children centuries ago, the ends coiling around two deadly fists. They threaten to cut off Callums circulation. He refuses to look his captor in the eye, all too aware of how publicly he’d been leashed.
‘Well, well. If it isn’t the hairy goat.’ Callum barely manages to spit then insult out.
He hears the sound of metal striking the ground, fells a hand under his chin that forces him to look up. Krampus gives him a devilish grin, showing off his canines.
Only so Callum can hear he replies, ‘Hairy. That’s the best you’ve got? I thought you liked hairy things.“
“Let’s keep this official alright?” Callum can’t hide the warmth in his face, not in this position. He really wished he could’ve done this unchained and in private.
