“I’m fine,” Dylan insists, standing up onto shaky legs. He takes a shaky breath and collects himself before moving over to the sink to rinse out his mouth. “Besides, Ryan, what could possibly go wrong just sitting around the fire?”

Ryan let go of Dylan's hand and placed his own on top of his shoulder, thumb brushing against his pulse point. He gave him the most determined look Dylan had seen on him since he was swearing on his life that Chris Hackett was the best of men.
