Didn’t let himself think about how she’d react or what it would cost. Because that part came later. Right now, there was only one thing that mattered—stopping her from walking into something she couldn’t walk out of.

I'm doing a rewatch with my friends. Sometimes I comment in the form of a haiku, especially using episode quotes. So I decided to make a fic. It's basically going to start with the episode we watched last night and keep going, since we keep rewatching. A lot is going to be inspired by episode quotes; some might be my thoughts/feelings about the characters/show/plot, including an occasional AU moment for that episode. From time to time I might stray into other episodes if the thought came up while watching. Thanks for reading!

Thinking about them now puts a small ache in his heart. Much as he loves being greeted by them when he comes back from somewhere, he’d known it would most likely be a late night, so he’d made them both promise—pinky promise, scout’s honor, cross their hearts and everything—that they wouldn’t wait up for him. They’d both had long days of their own (Parker had spent the majority of her time scuttling around in the air vents and Hardison had been on the grift with Soph), so they both needed sleep and they needed it bad. Before he’d left, he’d told them he’d kill ’em if he came home and they were still up.
But hopefully that won’t be necessary. He’ll just have to see what awaits him. Gently, he unlocks the door and pushes it open, and— Well, shoot. The TV’s on, and Thing 1 and Thing 2 are on the couch, their heads leaning against each other’s.
Damn. That’s too bad. He was kinda starting to like them.

Eliot comes back tired from a night out doing his part for a job, and he gave express instructions to Parker and Hardison not to wait up. Guess who didn’t listen. Not Eliot’s complaining—he may or may not get some cuddles and smoochies and dinner out of the deal. Not too shabby if you ask him🩷
