Anna could only hope her horse had returned to Whitehall without her and Edmund would come looking for her at any moment. She could hardly see anything through the heavy snowfall, and she hoped he wouldn’t get too lost in it to find her…
“Anna? Anna!”
She heard the voice from a ways away, and when she looked up, she saw Edmund riding toward her on his own horse. It was like the red speck of his uniform had appeared out of nowhere, from over some invisible, snow-covered hill.
Anna gets thrown from a horse out in a snowstorm, and Edmund comes to rescue her.
