All of these events will happen soon enough to a boy that is known as the last human left on Earth. Joshua and Margaret see the future of their adoptive son and are overwhelmed by the amount of pressure the kingdoms of Ooo will put upon their boys. The amount of villains they face are deemed too strong, even for some of the elite wizards. They would do anything to keep their boys safe, and they would mean anything.

Bubblegum keeps her eyes on Finn. What a way with words, Peebs. Simon somehow feels even more useless, if that was possible. “To keep the kingdom from harm's way.”
“Spreading?” Simon repeats, confusion quickly taking over.
Bubblegum shrugs. “It’s some weird biz. I got Huntress Wizard to look after it, but now we need to stop it.” She beams brightly at Finn and Simon. “I think you two are great for the job.”
