This is an alternate version of what could have occurred in Cars 3 if Lightning had reacted differently to Storm. In the actual film, he makes peace with the fact that it's simply the age of the next-gen racers, coaches Cruz, and becomes a mature mentor.
However, what if he never matured?
What if he became bitter the officials allowed Storm to compete with him despite Storm being a newer, different design to him?
What if, instead of moving past his anger, he allowed it to stew, and started plotting revenge?
What if he went to an extreme and took advantage of the lax Piston Cup regulations to finally have the #95 beat Storm?
What if he was willing to compromise the safety and the integrity of the Cup just to prove a point?

Finn looked at the man in front of him. He was taller, definitely older. The years plastered onto his face. His hair was silver-blue. Navy eyes were trustworthy and patient. Finn, the ever-good agent, thrust his hand out for him to shake. “Finn McMissile. British Intelligence.”
Hudson gave him a weary smile. It wasn’t welcoming, but it wasn’t unkind either. Finn understood why he didn’t shake his hand. “You can call me Doc. There’s no such thing as formality here in this town so you better get used to it.”

"Yeah.. well they have some official looking files with them, so I would hurry up what you're doing and get here before they sniff you out at your clinic.”
Finishing another stitch, he grumbled, "Give me ten minutes and I'll be there, just stall them Mike. You're good at that."
Mater's green eyes lit up as he ripped the ruby red lollipop out of Doc’s hand.

Since he can remember the only language of affection he received was abuse, first his father, he wasn't a bad father but when his mother left them everything became horrible, he started to drink and luckily for him he looked too much like his mother, his father barely saw him in his drunken state and didn't hesitate to hit him, although he wasn't such a bad father when he was sober, I would just prefer him to be like that always.
then Harv arrived
Harv was much, much worse, there was never a moment in which he wasn't a good person, there was never a moment in which he didn't receive a reprimand from his manager who ended up being his tutor, how lucky he is, his father next to Harv was Jesus himself, his skin has multiple scars that show it, his father at least never left him physical scars
In the end, he was alone in a world where you have to be strong to survive, at least he was fulfilling his dream, running towards making his life less bad
and he thought it would be like that until he got lost in that crappy town
and it was the best thing that ever happened to him. -

al final, estaba solo en un mundo en donde tienes que ser fuerte para sobrevivir, al menos estaba cumpliendo su sueño, correr hacia que su vida fuera menos mala
y penso que asi seria hasta que se perdio en ese pueblo de mala muerte

In a world where I have watched Cars 1, 2, and 3 and ALL the mini series more times in one month than I care to admit, my heart aches for the hole that was left when Diseny/Pixar killed off Doc Hudson because his voice actor passed away. These short stories will range in both content type as well as publishing time. Expect to see fatherly Doc, a bit of SalQueen [because as Junha (Favlie) has shared, there is not enough SalQueen out in the world] Friendly rivalry with Cal and Bobby, idk maybe some future fics, etc...request not accepted for this one cause I am not as confident with Cars as I am my other fandoms...Feedback is always welcomed.
