Lightning Mcqueen was at the top of the world. Racing against friends and new racers was an amazing feeling. Everything was great until a new racer show up. His name? Jackson Storm. After he show up, everything in the racing sport started to change. Racers, teams, sponsors and the public.
((So I saw a pic about Storm and then I discover fanfics about Storm and Lightning and totally ship them. Sadly there isn't many fanfics of this two so I'm making one myself. This fanfic take place at the beginning of Cars 3 since I think the movie was a bit rushed. Also I will be changing the age of some characters.))

After seeing the success of their previous model race cars, Next Gen decides to make more, with more improved speed and aerodynamics, which are projected to come out in 2027. However, one comes out in 2024 instead.

"There's some suits here asking for you specifically, said they dropped by your house.”
"What do you mean people with suits are looking for me? Why would they need me? You're the Sheriff." Carefully pulling the next looping stitch through the small laceration on the little boy's arm.
"Yeah.. well they have some official looking files with them, so I would hurry up what you're doing and get here before they sniff you out at your clinic.”
Finishing another stitch, he grumbled, "Give me ten minutes and I'll be there, just stall them Mike. You're good at that."
Mater's green eyes lit up as he ripped the ruby red lollipop out of Doc’s hand.

Summary
After winning the 2005 Piston Cup, Chick Hicks starts to descend into more erratic and self destructive behaviors, pulling his crew chief Travis Dentside along for the ride. Growing concerned for him after an incident involving alcohol and a drive through the desert, Travis poses an ultimatum: Chick needs to attend therapy, or Travis will quit. Unwilling to lose his crew chief (and one of his only friends), Chick grits his teeth and reluctantly attends a therapy session. Will he be able to stick with it? Will he be able to change for the better or is he the lost cause everyone tells him he is?
