oneshot. Four & Legend are separated from the Chain after a Switch. looking for the others leads them to a siren, who catches Four in it's song and nearly catches Legend. Legend manages to hold out until siren stops trying and releases Four, though, despite their old mental wounds being ripped open by it (Shadow and Marin). -

how loss, dreams, and fire can change a Link's perspective. Twilight, Four, and Sky have trauma related to the sound of breaking glass. Wind, Legend, and Time have places and people that became reality (Linebeck & 3 fairies, Marin in Warriors' era who followed them until Legend's, and Termina remembering Time). Warriors, Hyrule, and Wild are all banned from using fire rods (with the fairy and wild child being denied *all* magic items) and why.
fairly short for having 3 chapters, but very well done for its length. the hurt no comfort tag only applies to chapter 1.
