Peter smirked, his crooked lips pairing well with the bend of his head and cocked hip against the sofa as he looked down at Lucian's upturned face. “Is this Hot Topic District Manager bothering you, handsome?”
A full-body scoff from the outsider. “Don't you have a Ren Faire after party to get to?"
A low growl, just barely audible, reached Peter's ear and crawled inside. He grinned, sharp teeth glinting in the low light, and looked between the seated men. "Well, I can tell when I'm not wanted." He slid a hand down the back of the sofa to land on Lucian’s shoulder, lightly tapping his first two fingers twice against the back. The motion caused Lucian to raise an eyebrow, which found an answering pair on Peter’s amused face. "I'll just leave you two to your private party then, shall I? Find someone actually fun and who clearly doesn't have a cursed portrait hanging in an attic somewhere." Then, with a wink to Lucian and a flick of his kilt, Peter strut away, for all the world just another pleasure seeker in his natural environment.

So the whole friendship and babysitting start with good intentions. Jerry is not on his own as much while his parents are away, not as neglected. And Charley has a new friend. Like an older brother he never had.

Ed manages to convince Charlie to come over to discuss Adam's disappearance. The conversation that follows regarding Jerry and vampires in general goes a little differently than Ed had hoped, and It's clear Charlie isn't over old obsessions. But with Adam gone, he's the only one he can trust. He hopes to get Peter Vincent involved before Charley has a chance to do anything stupid, but it's a lot to hope for when Charley heads home for the night and the vampire in question lives right next door.
Charley has a bit of a longstanding vampire obsession and is at war with himself between guilt and his own desires. Turns out navigating senior year of high school is the least of his worries.

With a bone-jarring crack, a fist burst through the solid wood, white knuckles splattered with blood. The hand instantly gripped the handle from the inside, and whatever bastard had decided to break into his home wrenched the lever down and let themselves in. For a split second, Peter felt his stomach drop, and then… and then, he registered who it actually was.
All of the tension left his body and he found himself sinking back into the comfort of the chaise longue, crossing his legs and grinning madly.
“You do know there's a doorbell, right?” he drawled, as if the man hadn’t just nearly broken the damn door in half.
His visitor stood in the shattered doorway, a hulking figure smeared with dried blood and bristling muscle. He looked like violence incarnate - to Peter, he was a welcome sight. Lucian.Lucian and Peter, well… they had a history.

Peter was never more thankful to have used up his shame reserves in his 20s because the moan he unleashed in response was absolutely brazen in its need. He braced his free hand on the wardrobe and pushed his hips back into the solid weight that dug into them so deliciously.
Lucian pulled his other hand back to secure it around Peter’s hip, fingers gripping with a strength that thrilled as it secured. Peter was caught and kept. Lucian growled as he pressed them together, running his lips along the back of Peter's neck, his stubble leaving a prickling trail in its wake.
